AMC Update

We figure since everyone is taking time to round out their 2014 we should take some time to give a little update! Since opening our doors this year it’s been a whirlwind of events and new beginnings. The Austin community has welcomed us with open arms and we think that is pretty freakin’ awesome!

Our therapist have been rocking the scene at a number of places in town. ACL and Fun.Fun.Fun were just about the perfect way to kick things off! Lately we have been giving massage at Rogue Running on the weekends and Lululemon around the holiday season. And coming up we have probably our most exciting venture… This years 3M Brunch! Don’t know about you but we are stoked for New Years Day where we can load up on black eyed peas! Here are two unique twist on the traditional dish:


TexMex Black Eyed Pea Casserole by Recipe Girl (Find Full Recipe HERE)

1 1/2 cups dried black eyed peas, rinsed
5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (or more!)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped onion (about 1/2 medium)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups rice (your preference)
3 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
One 10-ounce can Ro-tel (tomatoes + green chilies)
3 cups fresh spinach, cut into strips
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese, divided
chopped cilantro, sour cream and sliced avocado (for serving)



Indian Spice Black Eyed Peas With Curry by Blogher (Find Full Recipe HERE)

1 cup dried black-eyed peas
2 T olive oil or ghee (use olive oil for South Beach diet)
1 tsp. brown or black mustard seeds
2 tsp. sea salt
1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
(recipe called for 1/2 tsp. asafetida which I didn’t have)
1 cup slow roasted tomatoes (or use 1 cup chopped canned tomatoes or 1 cup chopped fresh tomato)
2 T tomato paste
1 tsp. green Tabasco sauce, or more (or use use fresh chopped green chile pepper)
handful of fresh curry leaves (1/2 cup curry leaves, slightly chopped, but I would use even more if I had plenty of them)
2-3 T thinly sliced green onion or chopped cilantro for garnish (optional)
