Where did you go to school? How many years have you been a therapist? Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?
I have been helping greater Austin for 23 years. I am a native Austinite and attended Austin School of Massage Therapy.
I’ve had the privilege of further learning neurology and physiology of the body. There is always a root cause to pain and I love helping people figure out where it is coming from and why.
What do you consider your specialty modality or stand out area of the body/type of injury you feel you are an expert at addressing? How do you describe your massage/work to others?
The organ that intrigues me the most is the brain. I use Neuromuscular Reeducation, a technique that re-educates the body to work more effectively. It involves compression of the muscle to squeeze out lactic acid and myofascial release which helps unglue tissues from each other so they can better function. This allows more blood flow more oxygen to brain which makes for a healthier you. All these techniques are tied into Swedish massage for your comfort.
