Where did you go to school? How many years have you been a therapist? Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?
Diana graduated from Lauterstein-Conway Massage School and Clinic in March 2019. She completed Oncology Massage Training in October 2019 and Manual Lymphatic Drainage Training in March 2020. Diana has always been a helper, and realized she needed to shift her energy to work with people on their own path to wellness. Since getting licensed, Diana has worked at Austin Massage Company and local spas. She also teaches business courses at Lauterstein.
What do you consider your specialty modality or stand out area of the body/type of injury you feel you are an expert at addressing? How do you describe your massage/work to others?
Diana has the vision to promote individuals’ wellness through healing touch, and to bring comfort during these stressful and interrupted times. Diana listens carefully to determine the best treatment plan for each individual. She currently excels in Oncology Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, relaxation, Deep Tissue, prenatal and chair massage. Diana brings great energy and an intuitive touch, is compassionate, knowledgeable and encouraging.
What brought you to AMC? And what will you bring to the team at AMC?
Diana worked for Austin Massage Company within the first few months out of school, working corporate chair massage events and hotel outcalls. She enjoyed her experience then, and stayed in touch with Michelle since that time. Diana found herself at a point where she said, If I could work ANYWHERE for massage, where would that be? And Austin Massage Company was the answer!
When you are not massaging, what do you like to do with your time? What do you do to stay healthy?
Diana has a degree in music, and before moving to Austin, was in a local symphony orchestra as a cellist. She plans to join an orchestra again soon. For health, Diana loves to dance around her house with her two dogs, and meditates and journals daily. Diana is also into clean and healthy eating.
