What to eat Before a Marathon

It’s hot and we are all trying to avoid melting away, but why not start planning for next years races?! Here are some tips on eating right before marathons:

  1. HEALTHY CARBS – Things like potatoes, whole grains such as whole grain bread, pasta, rice, quinoa, fruits and vegetables.
  2. LEAN PROTEINS – Things like eggs, beef, bison, salmon, quinoa, and beans.
  3. AVOID HIGH FIBER – The day before your race avoid food high in fiber such as: Broccoli, lentils, blackberries, avocado, bananas and almonds.
