Breakfast Made Healthy

Waking up early is tough. Waking up early and making breakfast before running out the door for work or a morning workout is even worse. Here are three simple recipes that will give you an extra boost and a little extra time:

1. Strawberry Parfaits 

  • 1 lb strawberries
  • 2 cups low fat vanilla yogurt
  • 6 tbsps muesli cereal

2. Pomegranate Quinoa Bar

  • ¾ cup Medjool dates
  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds (1/4 of a big promegranate)
  • ½ cup flax seed powder
  • ½ cup cooked quinoa
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup hemp seed powder
  • pinch of sea salt

3. Creamy Date Smoothie 

  • One handful of dates
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Ice
